Computex is the world’s biggest computer show bringing us updates and announcements around the future of computing every year.

This year’s Computex is currently in full swing in Taipei, Taiwan, and some of the biggest names in the industry are showing us their latest and greatest devices.

Here’s what we’ve learned from this year’s event so far:

Asus laptops are ultra portable and ultra powerful: Asus announced the innovative ZenBook Duo and ZenBook Pro Duo ultra-portable laptops, both with dual 4K screens, along with powerful 9th generation Intel hardware and Nvidia graphics.

Alienware gaming laptops now designed to stay cool: Literally cool. The new Alienware m15 and Alienware m17 have just launched and will boast updated hardware for 2019, as well as a better design to keep cool inside their even thinner chassis.

Intel processors are still fastest in the world: Intel is still manufacturing some of the fastest processors in the world and has finally announced that its 10nm Ice Lake are shipping right now, arriving in laptops by the end of the year.

Intel announce Project Athena: Intel also used this opportunity to announce their Project Athena, a multi-year initiative that will see the company advance computing in several key areas, including performance, battery life, connectivity and form factor too. There are big plans ahead for this company.

MSI reveal innovative curved gaming case: MSI gaming laptops are definitely going to be the devices to look out for this year, and while we might not see them on store shelves anytime soon, their curved gaming PC case was definitely one of the best at Computex.

Nvidia brings pro-level Quadro graphics to thin, mobile workstations: Nvidia is focusing on the creative users, claiming that their RTX 2080-equipped laptop will be up to seven times faster than a MacBook Pro in the same workload. This is thanks to a new software layer exclusive to Nvidia GPUs and will certainly be one to look out for.

A new company to look out for: AMD have made a huge impact at this year’s show. The underdog chip maker has risen to the top of the processor world, more than doubling Intel’s sales. In fact, AMD’s stock have increased by 10% after this strong presence at Computex 2019, and it is predicted that this could well be their big break.

With the show going on until the weekend, and with huge companies like Microsoft still waiting to reveal new products, tune in next week to see what further updates we’ll discover.
