In Microsoft

Did you know that Windows 10 now automatically uninstalls updates that cause problems for the user?

This new feature could save your entire system from damage and is a very welcome new addition to Windows 10.

Why did Microsoft introduce this feature?

Microsoft now uninstalls updates as a safety measure, it simply automatically uninstalls buggy software updates that are installed on your system and informs the user about this with a simple pop up message.

In their own words, Microsoft say they have introduced this update: “to keep your device secure and running at peak efficiency”.

If you receive a notification that says: “We removed some recently installed updates to recover your device from a startup failure.” on your Windows 10 computer, that means all automatic recovery attempts have failed and so Windows 10 has resolved it by removing the harmful update.

You won’t have to worry about buggy updates affecting your system during startup.

Alongside this, Windows 10 will also automatically block installation of the problematic updates for the next 30 days, to ensure that your system can start up and continue running just fine.

What happens if the user wants the update to try again?

If a Windows 10 user thinks that the updates in question should not have been uninstalled, then Microsoft allows them to manually install driver or quality updates. If another error occurs or interrupts start up, Windows 10 will simply uninstall that harmful update again.
