At this year’s Intel Develops Forum, Brian David Johnson, Intel futurist, introduced Jimmy, the customisable, programmable and 3D-printed creation. At 45cm tall, Jimmy has some human-like features, including the ability to talk and walk.

Being programmed by HTML5, you can control Jimmy via apps and you can even program him to have new abilities. Of course, he will set you back around $1600, but if you fancy something a bit bigger, the original size Jimmy is also for sale at $16,000.

If you would like to know more about jimmy, you can follow him on twitter (yes he tweets) at @21CRobot.
